Want to help your clients reduce their energy bills while improving their comfort and safety? Are you looking for a start in the home performance industry? You may be interested in receiving a Building Analyst Certification from the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
This certification training course is designed to provide building professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the BPI Building Analyst certification written and field exams. The course will be conducted partly in a classroom setting and partly in the field to give candidates practical experience using some of the diagnostic tools necessary for properly evaluating a home's performance. Course materials include a Training Manual, Guidelines, Field Exam Guide and a copy of Residential Energy by John Krigger. Building Science theory and basic knowledge are taught in the classroom to lay the foundation for good home performance problem-solving and remediation.

Learning Level: Beginner (must take pre-requisite: Building Science Principles)

From building a monolithic adobe home in Nicaragua to fine tuning a “House as a System” approach in residential structures in the Southeastern United States, he has shown a commitment to the respect of resources at hand. Jesse has contributed to retrofitting over 1000 single family, multifamily, and commercial properties to solve comfort, durability, and excessive energy use issues and trained hundreds of building and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) professionals to do the same. Jesse is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, Proctor, Energy Auditor, and is a certified HERS Rater.
