Do you know which certification will benefit you and your building? This course will review several rating systems for sustainability, health & wellness, and Zero Net Energy (ZNE), specifically focusing on the energy component of each of them. This session will also include an interactive exercise where we'll review a sample building in San Diego and identify how the rating systems and ZNE definitions could apply.

As green building certifications grow in range of certifiable sustainable systems, taking this course could help you in deciphering which rating system is right for you.

  • Concepts of continuous improvement and third-party verification

  • Analyze how to set metric-based energy goals and best practices

  • Identify what rating system is a best fit for building types

  • Understand the nuances of how energy is treated in each rating system reviewed
