In his new documentary Prosperity, bestselling author Pedram Shojai talks to leaders of the next generation of companies who are building socially conscious practices into their businesses, turning “for profit” into “for benefit.”

Darcy Shiber-Knowles, Senior Quality, Sustainability & Innovation Manager at Dr. Bronner's leads Operations Services & Innovation at Dr. Bronner’s, the Vista-based top-selling organic and fair trade body care and food company famous for its radical labels, tingly peppermint soap, and industry leadership in the fights for GMO labeling, organic integrity, legalizing industrial hemp, and building the fair trade movement. In her current role at Dr. Bronner’s she is the global head of quality and sustainability, drives product innovation and new systems development, spearheads supplier evaluation within operations, and manages compliance with the company’s many third-party certifications, including USDA Organic, Fair Trade, B Corp, Vegan, and more.

Karim Bouris, Executive Director, Business for Good San Diego brings close to 20 years of experience in international business and community-based organizations, where he developed programs to address critical economic, workforce, community and education needs. Prior to launching Business For Good San Diego, he started his small business, Blues Scale Group, to support the growth and sustainability of cause-driven organizations.

Karim is committed to collaborative, evidence-based strategies and motivated by the potential of the nonprofit sector to be innovative, forward-thinking change agents for our community’s most pressing social challenges. He has a masters in business administration (University of Denver) and completed his undergraduate studies in psychology (University of Denver & University of Paris-X, France)

Marci Bair, CFP®, President & Founder / Bair Financial Planning is also Vice President with the Wealth Consulting Group and a native of San Diego and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with over 25 years of experience in working with LGBT Executives, Female CEO's and attorneys, as well as successful Business Owners to help them work towards their goals and pursue what's important to them. Marci and her team specialize in Sustainable & Responsible Investing for individuals and foundations.
