Overview

This Benchmarking 101 workshop will help you better manage energy consumption and gain greater insight into prioritizing energy audits and retrofits using the industry-leading benchmarking tool ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®. By learning how to measure and monitor your building’s energy and water use, you will be prepared to comply with new benchmarking regulations, such as Assembly Bill 802. We’ll also introduce the Benchmarking Coach program that provides no-cost, one-on-one technical support to building owners through the San Diego Regional Green Business Network.

Speaker

Rebecca Sappenfield Baptiste, LEED AP O+M, WELL AP, is an associate manager in Distributed Energy Resources Programs at the Center for Sustainable Energy. She utilizes her green building expertise to provide benchmarking technical knowledge and coaching, inform green building policy and regulation development, and assist in developing local green business networks and events. Rebecca holds master’s degrees in integrated science and technology and a master’s in sustainable environmental resources management, as well as a professional certificate in sustainable business practices.
